We’re really grateful to Howard Warmisham for taking the time to share his experience with Enviro

Spore

and even more so for the consistent effort he puts into improving bird health through better microbial management. The gains seen on this site are a direct result of Howard’s focus on reducing pathogenic load in the poultry environment and building a healthier foundation for each crop.

He started by trialling Enviro Spore in a single, more challenging shed, and after seeing clear improvements, expanded its use across all four houses. Here’s what he had to say:

"We have used Enviro Spore for the past year on one of our most challenging broiler farms.

Initially, Enviro Spore was trialled to progress the performance of the poorest of the 4 houses on site.

After two crops of birds in this particular house, we saw significant improvements, leading us to looking at possible further gains across the farm.

We have since used Enviro Spore in all four houses on the farm, along side the existing pre and pro biotic water treatment program, together with the use of organic acids to aid the exclusion of detrimental bacteria.

The synergy between the Enviro Spore combined with the water treatment has seen a 90% reduction in the use of starter medication across the site, along with a 75% reduction in antibiotic usage within the remainder of the crop cycles.

This has also seen substantial financial savings with regards to medication costs, along with reducing the use of antibiotics as per industry objectives.

We believe the continued use of Enviro Spore has pro-actively helped to build a competitive level of beneficial bacterial within the houses and has increased the EPEF across the site by 8% in 12 months…with more to come!!"
